- Course objectives
- The objective of the course is to get the students acquainted with the issues of legislation and realisation of social security in the larger context (public health insurance, sickness insurance, pension insurance, state social support and social aid). Particular attention is paid to the public administration in these fields and procedure in matters of insurance and social security benefits.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course students will be able to comprehend the system of social security; to understand the specific features of its functioning; to solve the concrete social situations of natural persons by using the legal regulation. Moreover, they will be able to understand the organisation and administrative proceedings in matters of social security.

- Sources of social security law; health insurance - personal scope of application, material scope of application; Sickness insurance - personal scope of application, material scope of application, sickness insurance benefits; Pension insurance - personal scope of application, material scope of application, pension insurance benefits; State social support - personal scope of application, material scope of application; allowances; Social assistance - personal scope of application, material scope of application the allowances and services; The procedure and decision-making in Social Security Law.
