- Course objectives
- The course is for foreign students in student exchange programs. It is an introduction in the law of the European Union. Following topics are covered by the course: origins and history of European integration, nature of the European union and the European Community, their institutions and procedures, basic economic freedoms, other economic policies, 2nd and 3rd pillar and the membership of the Czech Republic.

- 1. History and character of the EU 2. Law of the EU 3. Institutions of the EU 4. Free movement of goods 5. Free movement of persons 6. Freedom of services, capital and payments 7. Economic and monetary union 8. Regional, agricultural policy, taxation 9. Foreign and security policy 10. Judicial and administrative cooperation 11. Accession of the Czech Republic 12. Introduction of EU law in the Czech Republic
