The students are required to reach at least intermediate level of general English before they enter the course. All language skills will be practised with special focus on English for specific purposes and English for academic purposes. - Course Enrolment Limitations

- Course objectives
- Students will be able to talk about their future profession of a lawyer in general. They will be able to define key concepts and use specialized language in order to discuss, point out and explain the main differences between Czech and Anglo-American systems of law, especially in the following areas: What is law, prescriptive and descriptive law, customs and laws; Sources of modern law, common law systems, continental systems; Civil and public law, main categories of civil and public law; Judicial institutions, English courts; Lawyers at work, education, range of work, legalese.
