- Course objectives
- The purpose of this course is to prepare students for participation at court trials simulations (moot courts) as well as for their future legal career. The emphasis will be put on the ability to interpret legal norms, argue and write legal documents. Důraz bude kladen na schopnost interpretace, argumentace a psaní soudních podání.
- Syllabus
- 1st session: Introduction, legal regulation of trials at the European Court of Justice.
- 2nd session: case related to the free movement of persons; analysis of the case; basics of work with European electronic databases of the EU legislation and case law.
- 3rd session: analysis of the case; identification of related legal regulation and case law; preparation of written statements;
- 4th session: analysis of written statements; Evaluaton of their formal aspects as well as of their content
- 5th session: preparation of written statements; court trial simulation;

- The course is completed by colloquium during of which the participation on the simulated trial will be evaluated.
