- Course objectives
- The main objectives of this course is the understanding international business and finacial transactions. The course of International Trade Law is divided into three parts: international economic law, legal regulation of external trade EU and the legal regulation of the international business transactions. Three groups of legal relationships will be analysed: the relationships among states and international organizations, the relationships between state or international organization (such as EU) and businessmen, and among international businessmen. At the end of this course the student will be able to understand all three above mentioned groups of relationships. He will be able to explain the mechanism of the regulation of the international trade. He should be able to formulate the simple contract or the particular condition in the contract. He should be able to use the trade terms such as INCOTERMS. He should be able to analyse simple cases in the area of international trade.
- Syllabus
- Three levels of the relationships in the international trade and their regulation. International economic law (general consideration, WTO - GATT, GATS, TRIPS). EU and the legal regulation of the external trade. The international business transaction and its regulation. Lex mercatoria. International contract for the sale of goods (CISG). Operating in foreign market. International investment. International trade document. International carriage. International financial transactions.

- Assessment methods
- Lectures (a visit of the lecture is not mandatory). Completion of the course: written test - klauzura essay; if the student successfully passes the written test then follow an oral exam. The structure of the test is given in the e-learning warp in the organizational part.
