- On the end of the cours, the students will be able to understand the conception and the development of the Czech Civil Law in the frame of the development of the Civil Law in Europe and having regard to French Civil Law.

- Course objectives
- At the end of the course the students will be able to describe and to explain the situation, the concept and the system of the Czech private law and to compare it with the private laws of the member states of EU.
- Syllabus
- 1. Czech Private Law in the whole System of Law. The Method of Regulation in the System of Law. 2. The Structure and the Elements of the Czech private Law. The Division of the Czech private Law into the Branches. 3. The Branches of the Czech private Lawe - general Scope. 4. Private Law and Civil Procedure Law. 5. Sources of Czech private Law. 6. Principles of the Czech Private Law. 7. The juridical Facts in the Czech Civil Law. 8. Juridical Relation in the Czech Private Law. General Conception, Division. Elements of the Private Law. 9. The Person as the Element of the juridical Relation. Juridical Statute of the Person. Natural Persons. 10. Legal Persons. 11. Subjective Rights and Obligations as the Elements of the juridical Relation. Subject-matter as the Element of the juridical Relations. Thing in the juridical Sense.

- The examination has a written and an oral part. Examination - credit requirements: 1) Semester paper 2) Written test comprising Yes/No (True/False) or multiple choice questions. 3) Discussion on the semester paper
