Course objectives
The aim of this course is to help the student continue working on his/her project approved within the course DAF3DT03 Doctoral Thesis Project III. The preparation of the dissertation thesis is done in five phases (courses Doctoral Thesis I to V.). In this second phase, the doctoral student in close co-operation with his/her supervisor will conduct own research on the dissertation topic. Apart from that, the student will prepare a chapter (that will amount about 20 % of the final dissertation thesis) and present it during the PhD workshop/conference in order to gain feedback of his/her supervisior (tutor), other academics and professionals.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of this course student will be able to produce academic presentation in the form of a conference paper and present it.

  • The actual framework of co-operation between the student and the supervisor will be set by the supervisor.

Assessment methods
The progress of the doctoral student will be monitored and evaluated by the supervisor. Key part of the assessmnet is the presentation of progress during a PhD workshop and presetation of conference paper.
