- Course objectives
- The course will enable students to:
• Critically analyze the scope and nature of project management (with special emphasis on the management of European projects and projects financed from foreign sources)
• Use appropriate tools for the preparation, planning and project management including management of changes and risk management, and understand the rules for the preparation of successful projects
• Understand the principles of management and leadership teams in projects
• Understand the administration and logistics of project management, including management of project resources, particularly the budget and financial resources
• Understand the principles of project monitoring, including project reporting and auditing
• Understanding of project management in organizations and its integration into the organizational structures - Syllabus
- Project definition and typology of projects, international projects
- Call for proposals, project specification, types of call for projects, the evaluation process of proposals, organization and documentation of the evaluation process
- Planning and preparation of projects; Logical Framework Matrix (Logical Framework Matrix, search for partners and the formation of consortia projects, lobbying, project feasibility studies, project financing and investment management
- Organization and coordination of projects, roles and management structures of projects, management of project consortia intercultural and international aspects of project management
- Planning project activities, CPM and PERT methods of scheduling activities
- Planning and allocation of project resources; cooperation planning, optimization of costs: outsourcing - insourcing - co-sourcing;
- Management techniques and decision-making in projects
- Managing people in projects and teams, project culture
- Monitoring and measuring performance and quality in projects, reporting, monitoring and auditing of projects, monitoring and auditing of international and European projects, management of project documentation and administration
- Management of project budgets, budgeting and cost management in projects - personnel costs, services, public tendering, services and work in projects focusing on public purchasing, project management of bank accounts

- Assessment methods
- Processing a written project in the range of 1.000 to 2.000 words. Illustrative theme of the project. Students will develop a written project proposal, applying the Logframe Matrix and the feasibility study. The aim is to identify the main parameters in the Logframe Matrix; assess actual, financial and time feasibility of the project to define the relevant criteria for appropriate partnerships in the project consortium and propose the project; analyze the net present value of the investment in the project.
