- Course objectives (in Czech)
- The course is designed to introduce, analyse and critically discuss regulation of selected disruptive technologies. Every issue selected for current run of the course will be discussed in-depth with regard to both the general and specific legal concepts.
This course does not provide an overview of ICT Law, but aims at critical analysis, in-depth discussion and conceptualization of current regulatory challenges of disruptive technologies. - Learning outcomes (in Czech)
- At the end of the course, with regard to specific disruptive technology, students are expected to be able to:
- identify related legal concepts (both general and specific),
- explain and critically discuss related policy and societal challenges,
- explain and critically discuss related legal challenges. - Syllabus (in Czech)
- In Autumn 2022, the course will consist of two topics organised into three seminars each.
- (i) 5G networks
- 1. Introduction to 5G
- 2. 5G EU Toolbox
- 3. Clashing values in 5G EU Toolbox
- (ii) Online Dispute Resolution
- 1. Introduction to dispute resolution, alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and online dispute resolution (ODR)
- 2. ODR: Challenges and chances
- 3. Redesigning the dispute resolution
- Literature
- Literature is to be provided through the e-learning platform.
- Teaching methods (in Czech)
- Seminars supported by e-learning application.
Compulsory reading.
Preparation and discussion of position papers. - Assessment methods (in Czech)
- Students will be evaluated upon actively participating in the seminars, completing the compulsory reading, and submitting two position papers (approx. 5 pages each)
