Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to orientate the student in the field of legal regulation of insurance.
Learning outcomes
By completing this course student will be able to understand the functioning of the insurance sector and will be oriented in the legal regulation of insurance.

  • Basic terminology in the area of insurance. Insurance sector. Hedge funds. Insurance Entities.
  • Legal regulation of the insurance industry and insurance.
  • Insurance branches. Insurance contract. Insurance portfolio. Insurance administration.
  • Technical reserves and financial positioning.
  • Delinquencies in the field of insurance industry.

Mandatory texts specified in the internal curriculum or in the interpretation are limited by the maximum credit burden. The scope of the text from the compulsory literature (Finanční a daňové právo, pp. 251-270) is limited only to the topics in the syllabus. The remaining text is recommended and expands knowledge.
