- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- The purpose of the course is the understanding of international treaties as source of international law and its following aspects: Treaty law - international and national, Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties (1969), customary treaty law. International treaty in national law. Promulgation of treaties, interpretation. Treaties in the EU Law (especially external treaties). Their position in EU law. Treaties as sources of private international law. Position of treaties in national private international law, their relationship with the legislature.
- Learning outcomes
- -student bude schopen kriticky přemýšlet o mezinárodních smlouvách -student bude rozumět právním souvislostem mezinárodních smluv, - will understand the function of treaties in EU law and their application in the field of private international law.

- International treaties as source of international law and its following aspects: Treaty law - international and national.
- Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties (1969), customary treaty law.
- International treaty in national law. Promulgation of treaties.
- Art. 10 of the Constitution.
- Interpretation of treaties.
- Reservations. Treaties in the EU Law (especially external treaties). Their position in EU law. Treaties as sources of private international law. Position of treaties in national private international law, their relationship with the legislature.
