Course objectives
The objectives are mainly: - to deepen the knowledge of individual problematic areas of private law currently discussed in professional circles, in particular in the general part of private law and in the general law of obligations, using concrete examples from current case law and literature - have an overview of current case law - deepen the ability to analyse case law critically, to draw more general conclusions, to put it into the context of doctrinal interpretation - to deepen the ability to argue correctly in law and to deal with specific cases
Learning outcomes
-knowledge of the problematic areas of private law that are currently being discussed in professional circles, in particular the general part of private law and the general law of obligations, using concrete examples from current case law and literature -an overview of the current case law of the high courts -deepened ability to critically analyse case law -deepened ability to argue correctly in law and to deal with specific cases

  • since the course is always focused on current topics discussed in the professional community, in relation to current case law, the syllabus is always up-to-date for a given semester

  • Aktuální publikace a soudní rozhodnutí dle zadání lektora (Current publications and court decisions according to the lecturer's assignment)
Teaching methods
reading of assigned texts, independent preparation of analysis of assigned court decisions, search for necessary literature or related decisions, joint discussion at a professional meeting, presentation of the factual basis and essence of legal solutions of specific court decisions, presentation of own conclusions
Assessment methods
participation in a joint meeting, assessment of the quality of the presentation and the quality of the argumentation
