- Course objectives
- After successful completion of the course Administrative Science - the student has a deeper knowledge of the structure and functioning of public administration as a complex social system, is able to orientate in the essential aspects and problems of modern public administration , - has knowledge of the problems of the personnel basis of public administration and civil service, the principles of ethics and ethical codes, the protection of the public interest in public administration decision-making, anti-corruption measures, principles of public property management, is able to apply knowledge resulting from current developments, trends and reforms in European public administration, with an emphasis on the effectiveness of decisions and procedures, is familiar with the principles and models of evaluation and control of public administration.
- Learning outcomes

- Public administration as a system. Organisational and functional concepts of public administration. Criterion of efficiency of public administration. Public administration reforms. Public administration reform in the Czech Republic. Modernization trends and efforts in public administration and their manifestations in public administration in the Czech Republic, especially in the field of e-government, decision-making processes, the personnel basis of public administration, including the field of professional training, the concept of public administration as a service, professional ethics of public administration, protection of public interest (conflict of interest), management of public property, in the field of control (audit) and evaluation (evaluation) of public administration.

- Combined examination consisting of a written thesis of 5 pages on the topic of modernisation in the chosen area of public administration with the application of knowledge acquired in the course, and the defence of this thesis.
