Course objectives
The goal is to make candidates basic characteristics of financial management as a special section of the public administration, institutions engaged in financial management and organizational principles of the functioning structures.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course student should be able to characterize financial management, define institutions engaged in financial management and know the basic principles of their functioning.
Syllabus
  • 1st Presentation of the subject, assignment of projects (semester theses). Financial management - generally a theoretical block.
  • 2nd Financial administration performed by the CNB. Financial Arbiter.
  • 3rd Financial administration in the Ministry of Finance. Financial Administration of the Czech Republic.
  • 4st Customs Administration of the Czech Republic. International cooperation in tax administration and recovery of financial claims.
  • 5st Hallmark administration.
  • 6st Financial administration within other departments.

Teaching methods
Frontal teaching in the form of lectures, self-study based on an interactive curriculum with possible use of self-testing, self-correction, and individual consultations.
Assessment methods
Written exam (60% for successful completion). In order to be admitted to the exam, a short term paper must be prepared according to the conditions specified in the interactive syllabus.

Teacher's information
The scope of the text from the compulsory literature (Finanční a daňové právo, Propedeutika finčního práva) is limited only to the topics in the syllabus. The remaining text is expanding, recommended. Compulsory texts specified within the interactive syllabus or during teaching are limited by the maximum credit load.
