Course objectives
The aim of the course is to enable students to get deeper knowledge of Latin, focusing on the ability of interpreting Latin legal ictions, sayings and texts. A written examination at the end of the two-term course.
Syllabus
  • Past active system. Supinum and past passive system. Ablative absolute. Infinitive forms. M.Tullius Cicero: De legibus (reading and translating selected texts). Reading, translating and interpreting Gaius' Institutions. Reading, translating and interpreting selected texts from the Digest. Reading and translating Middle Ages texts and selected text from the Codex iuris canonici.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Seminární výuka v celkovém rozsahu 2 semestry. Podmínkou přístupu ke kolokviu je účast a aktivní práce v seminářích a úspěšný závěrečný test. Kolokvium písemné, překlad z latiny do češtiny (souvislý pramenný text) s pomocí slovníku.
