- Course objectives
- Roman law constitutes a propaedeutic basis for the study of positive private law disciplines. It is a basis tfor understanding essential principles of absolute law and techniques of legal reasoning.
To inform the students about the system of Roman law.
To distinguish an influence of Roman law on a later law and recent law.
To analyze and comprehend to the legal institutes and their development.
To comprehend the distinctions between these institutes.
To analyze and interpret texts (examples) and their solution. - Syllabus
- Spring term - Legal interests (right of possession , iura in re aliena), obligation law (torts, system of contracts, quasi contracts, quasi torts), inheritance law (testament, intestacy, singular succession mortis causa)
