- Cíle předmětu
- The course provides with brief overview of international environmental treaty law and the Czech national legislation in the field of environmental protection. It is aimed at selected environmental problems and legal instruments that are applicable at the international, EC and national level.

- 1. International environmental law - global environmental problems, sources of the international environmental law, environmental treaties and their characteristics 2. International treaties in the field of air protection, inland water protection, waste movement 3. International treaties in the field of the cultural heritage of mankind, nature protection, environmental impact assessment and Aarhus Convention 4. Czech environmental law - regulatory structure, sources of the law, environmental decision-making 5. Land use planning and environmental protection, agricultural land and forest management and protection 6. Air protection, ozone layer protection, global climate change 7. Protection of inland waters 8. Nature protection 9. Legal regime of waste disposal and legal control of toxic substances and other chemicals 10. Environmental impact assessment, integrated prevention and pollution control 11. The right to the information on the environment and participation of the public in the environmental protection 12. Environment and the Czech Constitution.

- Metody hodnocení
- Lectures are held for a minimum of 5 students. With smaller number of students attending the course, lectures are replaced with tutorials. Reading assignments will be given by the course co-ordinator during the course. The examination in the form of a written test and one semestral paper/ppt.presentation. Examination - credit requirements: 1. Semester paper/ppt. presentation 2. Written test 3. Participation in lessons
