- Course objectives
- The main objective of the course is basic practical skills and orientation in operating various sources of legal information. After the successful pass of the course a student should be able to:
- find basic legal information on the Internet
- find laws, regulations and other legal documents using ASPI, Codexis and Beck-online systems
- work with other legal information systems
- evaluate a creditibility and validity of the information
- solve basic legal problems using the legal information systems - Syllabus
- Basic steps in ASPI, introduction to the system and to its subsystems
- Search for black-letter law in ASPI, solution of model cases
- Work with accessory applications of ASPI, search for case-law, readings, EU law
- Work with information systems Codexis and Beck-online
- Basic orientation in some other information systems (LexDATA, EPIS, Konzultant etc.)
- Search for legal information on the internet

- Practice in PC room.
- Assessment methods
- Students are required to attend all the lessons that are dedicated to exercising of concrete legal problems solving. The course is concluded by a colloquium, which comprises of a theoretical test and concrete legal problems solving. There are 30 questions in the test and student can achieve a maximum of 30 points. 3 points are awarded for every properly solved concrete legal problem. To pass the colloquium successfully student have to obtain at least 15 points from each part and 40 points altogether. Further information can be found in an interactive syllabus.

The course is taught annually.
General note: Předmět je určen pro nejvýše pro polovinu ročníku. Je prerekvizitou pro státní závěrečnou zkoušku.
