- Course objectives
- The course is designed to teach students the basic legal and non-legal rules governening registration and transfers of domain names. The course is sutable for students without strong legal backgroud (ie. students of Informatics and Economics). At the end of the course students should be able to: - understand the most relevant legal rules governing the registration of domain names - know how to defend themselves against cyber-squatters - know the basic legal rules governing other aspects of internet marketing

- 1. Legal nature of a domain name. 2. Domain nanme transfers 3. Domain names and IP 4. domain names and IP (II). 5. Unfair commercial practices 6. Unfair commercial practices (II) 7. Alternative dispute resolution. 9. Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy 9. Alternative dispute resolution ADR. 10. Enforcement of privacy rights under ADR and UDRP pricedures. 11. - Teaching methods
- The course consists of lectureres and self study. The progress is evaluated via interactive stests and colloquium.
- Assessment methods
- The students have to take two interactive electronic tests via information system of the universtiy with the success rate of 60 percent. Studets who pass the tests are entitled to participate in Colloquium.
