Course objectives
Within the frame of this subject students shall become acquainted with the concept of the Czech constitutional law and its relation to international law and to European law. Subsequently they bring out about the political system, its components and its links to the membership of the Czech Republic in the EU, about election of European Parliament and about European politics of important political parties. Further there are examined basic question of fundamental rights and freedom of individuals in terms of Czech Charter (1991), European Convention (1950) and Charter of fundamental rights of EU (2000) and possibilities of their protection provided by the Czech Constitutional Court, the European Court of Human Rights and the European Court of Justice.
