Course objectives
The aim of the introduction of the course is to deepen students' knowledge in a very dynamic area of agricultural law. At the end of the course students should be familiar with the legislation, they will be able to interpret it and to the knowledge of the wider legal and scientific basis to apply it in practice. The course of agricultural law focuses on the different legal aspects of farming as a multifunctional activity at the level of European and Czech legislation.

  • Legal framework of farming.
  • Subjects of Agricultural Law.
  • Legal relationships within farming. Registers of farmers and land.
  • Common Agricultural Policy - the legal basis, principles, objectives, links, instruments.
  • The common market organizations for agricultural commodities and their implementation.
  • A system of single payments and its implementation.
  • Rural development policy and its implementation.
  • Legal aspects of sustainable agriculture.
  • Organic Farming.
  • Food Safety. Genetically modified organisms.
