Course objectives
The course provides basic theoretical and practical knowledge of administrative law and public administration.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the students who have succeeded: - have basic theoretical and practical knowledge of administrative law and public administration - are able to administer legal rules in certain cases - are able to sustain chosen solution of the case study.
Syllabus
  • Interpretation of administrative law rules, normative powers of public administration, theoretical and practical aspects of government, theoretical and practical aspects of local self-government, public property, right to information and personal data protection in public administration, legal guarantees in public administration, judicial supervision of public administration, Ombudsman, liability for damage and liability for immaterial damage caused by the public administration’s activity, civil service and regional government clerk’s position, fundamental questions of European administrative law.

Teaching methods
Lectures. Support in the form of e-learning (interactive syllabus, testing using ROPs, ...).
Assessment methods
Oral full-time exam. Each student draws 2 questions. If the answer to one of them is false, the student fails the whole oral exam. If an epidemic situation requires: a written distance test, which will consist of one open ("answer") question and five test questions with a choice of one of four solutions. Details of the exam (completion, evaluation) will be given in the interactive syllabus in IS.
