- Course objectives
- At the end of the course students should be able to: define basic conception and sources of Czech Private Law and Civil law; place Civil law to the system of Private law; orientate in the general part (provisions) of the Czech Civil Code; characterized basic principles, concepts, and institutions of Czech private Law.
- Learning outcomes
- Understand and explain the fundamental concepts, principles and general framework of the private law and civil law as well as their importance within legal systems; Acquire basic professional knowledge, skills, and capabilities; Explain very basic terms and institutions of the General part of Private (civil) law.

- Introduction to the concept and the function of the Private law and Civil Law; The position of the Private Law in the general system of Law; System of Civil Law; Principles of Private Law; Introduction in the topic of persons in a legal sense, objects in the legal sense and legal acts;
