- Course objectives
- The main objectives can be summarized as follows: to be introduced to legal French to learn specific features of the French legal system to get new knowledge and new communicative competences and oral skills, in particular understanding both written and spoken texts. At the end of the course students will be able to understand texts on specific topics and explain the key concepts in the following areas : Family Law, Judiciary in France, Common Courts, Civil Procedure, Judicature - Comparisons. Lexis and grammar of the language for specific purposes.
- Learning outcomes
- Students will be able to use this information in discussions on specific topics, to explain and to support their arguments. Using acquired knowledge students will be able to interpret unknown texts.
