Course objectives
The course is part of the thematic block Starting the preparation of a dissertation II. The purpose of this course is to lead the student to map the basic literature related to the topic of his/her dissertation. The purpose of the course is to introduce the student to the issues related to the subject of his/her dissertation and to broaden and deepen the knowledge of the current state of knowledge in the field of his/her research focus. This will include an evaluation of the relevance of the retrieved sources and the identification of key sources, and possibly a plan to expand with additional sources.
Learning outcomes
- deepening knowledge of the current state of knowledge in the area of research focus - a more thorough knowledge of the background literature - better assessment of the relevance of sources and identification of key sources - identification of additional needed follow-up sources

  • Syllabus is elaborated individually according to the agreement with the supervisor within the framework of the individual study plan.

Assessment methods
The course is completed by colloquium within the framework of which the knowledge obtained by studies of selected literature and the content of the dissertational thesis will be discussed with the supervisor.
