Course objectives
The course is designed primarily for students whose research focus is in the field of commercial law and builds on the discussions in the course DOSCPV_OKA Commercial Corporations A. The focus of this course will be on the current published literature in the area of corporate law (or working papers), which students will analyze and develop their own comments (position papers).
Learning outcomes
Students should broaden their knowledge in the professional areas discussed. They should learn to formulate their own professional analytical solutions to more specifically formulated professional questions and deepen their ability to present them. They will be able to solve complex cases in selected areas based on a deep understanding of the theoretical foundations and knowledge of decision-making practice.
Syllabus
  • The course will focus on current topics addressed in the literature and case law, also taking into account the research focus of the enrolled students. The topics will broadly cover areas such as those listed above in the course objectives.

  • Aktuální publikace a soudní rozhodnutí dle zadání lektora (Current publications and court decisions according to the lecturer's assignment)
Teaching methods
Reading of assigned texts, subsequent joint discussion, solving case studies (position papers), presentation of solutions, formulation of questions on the topic and their solutions.
Assessment methods
Participation in joint meetings, professional level of contributions in the discussion, quality of prepared written documents, depth and complexity of arguments.
