The students should have a general knowledge of the theory of law of aministration, financial law and envrionmental law, including the core laws of these areas.

Course objectives
The goal of this subject is to help students to deepen their knowledge which they gained during their previous studies of financial law (both fiscal and non-fiscal) or administrative law or environmental law. The students will have the opportunity to consult the particular questions of financial law, administrative law and environmental law. Other goal is that the students gain now knowledge and expertise which will help them to include the abovementioned areas into their PhD theses.
Learning outcomes
After completion of this course, the student should have extensive knowledge of areas needed for further and deeper studying of the partcular subject of dissertation research and will be able to:
- identify the areas of their disertation thesis which overlap financial law, administrative law or environmental law;
- identify the areas of their dissertation thesis which represent challenges to financial law, administrative law or environmental law;
- define and describe the contemporary domestic and foreign trends in the area of the dissertation topic;
- shape a complex part of the dissertation thesis where there are connections between financial law, administrative law or environmental law and the dissertation topic
- shape a compelx part of the dissertation thesis where they assess the core aspects of financial law, administrative law or environmental law in respect to the dissertation topic.
Syllabus
  • The particual content is subject to the topic of the dissertation topic. Hence, the content will be shape during discussions wit the student so that it is relevant for the selected dissertation topic and it covers the relating questions of financial law or aministrative law or environmental law. Assessment will be up to instructor of dissertation thesis who will also be responsible for entering the grades. It is however expected that the students will consult with the representatives of other branches of law in question. Generally, the structure may consist of the following areas:
  • - connection between the dissertation thesis and financial law or administrative law or environmental law;
  • - effects of regulation on financial law or administrative law or environmental law;
  • - principles of financial law or administrative law or environmental law applying to the dissertation thesis;
  • - and so on.

Teaching methods
Individual consultations are the core method of teaching this course. These consultation are to be held with the instructor of the dissertation thesis and the representatives of other relevant departments and experts from legal practice.
Assessment methods
The instructor of dissertation thesis enters the grades based on the content prior communicated to the students. Usually, it can be based on completion of a part of dissertation thesis concerning the relevant economic aspects or questions of administrative law.
