- MP703Z Criminal Law II
The prerequisite for admission to the course examination is credit from MP605Z, MP703Z + 3 references from the main trials and a clause from criminal procedural law. The examination will be conducted from the subject matter of MP605Z, MP703Z and MP804Zk. The student may be allowed to use uncommented law in the examination, on the instruction or with the consent of the examiner. He/she may also use the regulation when analysing the elements of a crime from a special part of the Criminal Code. - Course Enrolment Limitations

- Course objectives
- The basic aims of education is to understand of conception, structure, forms, functions and basic principles of criminal law and criminal procedure and criminal process. Student will be able to aply substantive criminal law within criminal procedure, will take forms of criminal procedure, position of subjects of criminal procedure and questions of evidence procedure as the ground of criminal process. Presentation will cover the stages of criminal procedure, special ways of proceedings, appeal procedure, international cooperation in criminal matters, execution. Presentations will be accompanied by suitable examples from practice, which will be developed during seminars.
- Learning outcomes
- Student will be to: - application of fundamental principles of criminal procedure ( CP) - explain stages of CP and proces as such (puropose) - explain position of subjects of CP and non governmental persons - explain rules of evidence, coercive measures, diversions in criminal procedure - explain position of bodies active in CP - explain substance of legal remedies (puropose and application) - explain specialities of international co-opersation on criminal matters including EU co-operation

- Teaching methods
- After graduation of subject, students should be able to solve basic legal situation in criminal and procedure, it means theirs ability should be reach at least minimum necessary degree of knowledge for practice. Chosen methods therefore combine theory and practice to be students able to use theoretical knowledge in later practice as fundament of next education and practical need. That is why the lecturer via technical equipment (power point presentation) and on concrete practical cases try to motivate students to these aims. The education needs interactive access.
- Assessment methods
- Teaching takes the form of lectures and seminars and is completed by an examination. The prerequisite for admission to the course examination are credits from MP605Z, MP703Z + 2 references from the main trials and a clause from criminal procedural law. The exam will be taken from the material of MP605Z, MP703Z and MP804Zk. The student is allowed to use uncommented law in the examination, with the direction or consent of the examiner. He/she may also use the regulation when analysing the facts of a crime from a special part of the Criminal Code.
