Course objectives
The aim of the course is to gain knowledge about pathological manifestations and symptoms signaling a morbid condition of the body.
Learning outcomes
Student knows after graduating course
After graduating the course the student knows the basics of pathology evaluating pathological functions in sick patients and healthy people. The student will be able to propose appropriate therapies in a number of internal diseases.
Syllabus
  • Introduction to pathology. The inflammatory process. The process of healing. Fever. Pathological disorders of the immune system. Pathology pain. Cancer. Shock. Pathology of acid-base balance. Arteriosclerosis. Diabetes mellitus. Pathology of the heart and vascular system. Pathology of blood circulation. Pathology of the respiratory tract. Pathology of the digestive organs, including the liver and pancreas pathology. Renal pathology. Disorders of the endocrine system. Pathology of the central nervous system. Pathology of blood. Malabsorption of vitamins, hypovitaminosis, hypervitaminosis. Pathology of the musculoskeletal system. Pathology of the skin
