Course objectives
At the end of this exercise a student will be able to cite conditions for placing and processing of bachelor work, which is given from institute or clinic responsible for education of related bachelor the student program. Processed bachelor work the student presents to studying dean department for registration in terminus, which is present in academic year timetable. Work leader and opponent produce reference for bachelor work defense. The reference must be know to the student at lest three days before the defense. The defense is part of state final exam.

The student prepares the final version and gives it in the deadline.
Syllabus
  • Technical optics, optical devices:refraction of simple spherical or planar objects, index of refraction , optical refractiveness, light beam passage, nodal point, cross and angular magnification, thin lenses, thick lenses, lens defects, depth of sharpness, spherical and toric lenses, prisms effect, prisms, mirrors, optical devices (binoculars, microscopes, magnifying lenses, cameras), ophthalmological devices (ophthalmoscopes, shadow-test devices, fronto-focimeters, slit-lamps, keratometers, refractometers, diagnostic lenses), polarized light, quality of visual display, capacity of resolution
  • Examination and refractive error correction:refractive error assessment, myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, aphakia, optical characteristics and materials of eyeglasses, correction of muscles imbalance, absorption lenses, bifocal and progressive lenses, protective goggles, examination of visual acuity, color vision and contrast sensitivity, rigid and soft contact lenses, indication and contraindication of contact lens wearing, contact lens care, intraocular pressure measurement, visual field examination with perimeter and campimeter
  • Disorders of vision and the eye:anatomy of the eye, visual pathway, optical characteristics of the eye, physiology of binocular vision, binocular vision disorders, color vision, diseases of the lids: congenital anomalies, misplacement of the lids, palsies of lid muscles, inflammations of the lids, lid tumours, diseases of the conjunctiva: inflammations, red eye causes, degenerations and tumours of the conjunctiva, diseases of the lacrimal gland and lacrimal pathway: inflammations , tear film, dry eye syndrome, inflammations of lacrimal sac and lacrimal duct, tumours., diseases of the cornea: congenital anomalies, inflammations, corneal dystrophies and degenerations, diseases of the lens: congenital anomalies, cataract, changes of lens position, aphakia, pseudophakia, diseases of the vitreous body: hemophtalmos, liquification, opacities, diseases of the retina: vascular disorders of the retina, hypertonic retinopathy, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, retinal degeneration and dystrophies, glaucoma: diagnostic methods, open angle glaucoma, closed angle glaucoma, disorders of accomodation and convergence, presbyopia, magnifying aids for purblind people
