- Course objectives
- The main objectives of the course are:
understanding and acquiring the chosen areas of the application of basic scientific knowledge of social psychology;
learning to perceive various specific aspects of taking care of a woman from the point of view of social psychology on the basis of the knowledge attained;
apply information on the topic, mental hygiene, burn-out syndrom, into the concept of mental hygiene of each student;
understand and acquire the knowledge on assertive behaviour, communication, and team co-operation;
understand and acquire basic knowledge on family; - Syllabus
- Social psychology, social learning, social perception, social interaction, and social isolation;
- Social communication;
- Communication in difficult situations - premature childbirth, giving birth to a dead child, death of a child;
- Social groups - group dynamics, co-operation in a group;
- Family and society, functioning, disfunctioning, problem family;
- Mental subdeprivation and deprivation;
- CAN syndrom;
- Alternative family care - different forms and types;
- Social behaviour and socialisation disorder;

- Teaching methods
- Type of teaching - lecture - 0.5 hour, practice - 1 hour. Requirements for the finishing of practice, form of finishing: credit - 80 per cent participation on the teaching, presentation of the personality of the student herself (basic anamnestic data, family, professional career and aims, hobbies) Active participation is expected, pairwork, teamwork.
- Assessment methods
- Requirements for finishing the lecture, form of the finishing credit. Students will be informed about the requirements for getting the credit in written form, a seminar paper on a certain topic will be set (5 given topics and 1 topic of one's own) according to the requirements given. The content of the paper may be personal reflections and experiences supported by citation and examples from literature. A clear grasp of the topic, expression of an opinion of one's own, and ability to be work with sources (literature) will be evaluated. Content and professional quality of the topic will be evaluated by the teacher who will decide whether the seminar paper fulfills the requirements and exhausts the given topic.
