Cíle předmětu
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the technical terminology and explain the symptoms, course and basic treatments for various diseases. Students will be able to acute states provide qualified first aid. Selected chapters from the field are directly related to the curriculum of the bachelor's degree.

  • Schedule of lectures 1st semester 1. Lecture and self-study. a) General symptoms in internal medicine. Pain - Types, character, duration, intensity, concomitants. History. Subjective and objective symptoms. • The student knows the terminology used in the general symptomatology examination in internal medicine. • The student has the ability to correct anamnestic data. b) General examination. Psychic state. Habitus. Momentum. Examination of the head, neck, chest, abdomen, extremities. Blood pressure (BP), heart rate (HR) • Is able to assess the physical and mental state of the patient c) microbiological examination, microscopic, histological. Examination of biological material, blood and blood disorder.. Radiological examination, radioisotope, magnetic resonance imaging. d) Endoscopic examinations. Functional examination in internal medicine rest, exercise. • The student knows the investigative methods used in internal medicine. • Students are able to explain the principles of investigative procedures. 2. Lecture and self-study. a) Etiopatogenesis internal diseases. Genetics and internal diseases. Iatrogenic damage. Characteristic clinical oncology, gerontology, pharmacotherapy. • The student knows the basic genetic patterns, aetiopathogenetic principles of internal diseases • The student to orientate themselves with the content of specialized internal medicine 3. Lecture and self-study. a) Diseases of the heart and blood vessels. Coronary heart disease (CHD). Angina pectoris (AP). Myocardial infarction (MI) b) Cardiomyopathy (KMP). Pericarditis. Aortic dissection. c) Hypertension (HT). • The student knows the symptomatology of cardiovascular diseases (CV). • Student is able to provide basic care in acute conditions KV diseases. • The student knows the diagnosis of hypertension. 4. Lecture and self-study. a) Diseases of peripheral arteries and veins. Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) Chronic lower limb disease. Phlebitis superficial and deep. Venous trombembolism - prevention. b) Cor pulmonale. c) Respiratory disease. Chronic obstructive pulmonary diasease(COPD).Asthma. Emphysema d) Infections of the respiratory system. Pneumonia Diseases of the pleura - inflammation. Tuberculosis. • The student knows the symptomatology of inflammatory lung diseases • Student is able to enumerate the causes of chronic diffuse lung processes. • Student focuses on diseases of the peripheral vascular system.
