Course objectives

Training the skills in methods used in basic and special toxicology.

Syllabus

Routes of excretion of xenobiotics. Biological tests of exposure. Similarities and differences between children and adults in toxicology. The carcinogenesis. Short-term tests of genotoxicity. Examples of the food chains contamination by xenobiotics (DDT, lead). Priorities of the modern toxicology. Smoking as the major toxicologic source of human exposure.
