- Course objectives
- The aim of the tuition is working knowledge of the Czech language on the A1 level of the "Common European Framework of Reference" (CEFR)(Independent User) checked by an examination.
- Syllabus
- Czech for Foreigners. Syllabus.
- 1st - 2nd weeks: The sounds of Czech and their pronunciation and spelling. Vowels, diphthongs. Consonants, assimilation of consonants in groups. LESSON 1: Conversation: Introduction, Greetings.
- 3rd - 5th weeks: LESSON 1: Conversation: Introduction, Greetings. Classroom. Grammar: Word and its forms in Czech. Three genders of Czech nouns. Nominative of singular in nouns, adjectives, pronouns, and numeral "one". The verb "to be". Who is it? What is it? Where is ....? Verb negation. Adverbs of place. Demonstrative pronouns. Adjectives: hard and soft.
- 6th - 8th weeks: LESSON 2: Conversation: Tell me Please... In the Town. Grammar: Motion. Nominative of plural in nouns, adjectives, pronouns, and numeral "one". Cardinal numerals 1 - 20. The verb "to have". Locative case of nouns in singular. Present tense of verbs : conjugation "-ám","-uji". Accusative case in singular.
- 9th - 11th weeks: LESSON 3: Conversation: In the Shop. Shoppings. Grammar: Conjugation of verbs. Present tense, infinitive. Accusative of singular in nouns, adjectives, pronouns, and numeral "one". Prepositions used with the accusative.
- 12th -14th weeks: LESSON 4: Conversation: Meals. Students' Dining Hall, Restaurant. Grammar: Conjugation of verbs. Present tense, infinitive. Accusative of singular and plural in nouns, adjectives, and pronouns. Possessive pronouns.
- 15th week: Credit test.

- The first title is obligatory, the others are recommended.
- Assessment methods
- The tuition is realised in the form of practical courses. The students' presence in these courses is strictly required, maximally two properly apologised absences are tolerated. The tuition is finished by a course-unit credit given on the basis of the students' presence and their successful passing of a credit test.
