- Course objectives
- The goal of practical lessons in pediatry is to acquaint the students with problematics of treatment and prevence nursing in the field. The student acquire implements theoretical knowledge in taking intensive care of sick children. Students get summary of knowledges in diagnostics, therapy and prevention of child diseases in different age periods and according to particular systems.By the end of the course students should be able to perform physical examination.The student is able to asses physical findings and distinguish physical findings from patological ones.The student knows standard diagnostic procedures and tests for individual clinical conditions of the child and is able to apply them in practice. The sudent is able to substantiate the execution of basic laboratory and examination methods for specific disease circles. Student obtains view about work organization in several departments. Student is taken up and work with documantation. In the end of course students should be able to set diagnosis and to treat different pediatric conditions.

- Individual practical training over tutor supervisior. Self examination of sick children. Examination newborn children, infants,toddlers,pre and school children and adolescents. Special methods in all illness in childhood. Differential diagnosis, speciality in pharmacotherapy in pediatrics.
