Course objectives
The goal of lessons is to acquaint the students with problematics of treatment and prevence nursing in the field. The student will be acquainted with the organization of the paediatric care. The student knows standard diagnostic procedures and tests for individual clinical conditions of the child and is able to apply them in praktice. After the participation in the course students will be able to attend the most common children diseases, especially with accent on the oral cavity. Student will be able to safely recognize and treat various acute conditions occurring by providing dental care for children.
Syllabus
  • Introduction to organization and contemporary issues of pediatry. Growth and developement of healthy child, nutrition. Genetics, introduction to subject, genetic consoulting, examination methods. The most frequent heritable diseases, congenital developement defect Phyramcology in child age. Diseases of respiratory system. Blood diseases. Heart diseases, diseases of blood circulation. Diseases of kidneys and urinary system. Diseases of digestive system. Diseases of endocrine gland. Disorders of homeostasis. Diseases of immunity and alergic diseases. Nervous and muscles system diseases. The most frequent eyesight, hearing and speech diseases. Dermic diseases. Infectious diseases.Sudden state in pediatry. Newborn resuscitation and older children.
