- Course objectives
- At the end of the course, students should be able to understand basics of system of law and basics of single legal branches. Legal problems in health care are discussed in-depth.
- Syllabus
- 1. State and law – basic terms of legal theory, legal branches, sources of law, private and public law, basics of constitutional law 2. Administration – basic terms, state administration and self-government, administrative proceeding 3. Civil law – sources of civil law, obligations, selected contracts, heritage, civil liability, basics of civil proceeding 4. Family law – matrimonial relationships, parent – child relationships, alimentary duty 5. Basics of business law – sources, commercial code – structure, contracts 6. Labour law – sources, labour code – structure, subjects of labour law, trade unions – basic information, content of labour relationship, health protection, liability, special labour conditions for specific categories of employees, remuneration 7. Health care law – sources, public health insurance, subjects of public health insurance and their duties, health insurance funds, patients rights, medical liability, confidentiality, protection of privacy, detention, health care professions, health care administration, self-government in health care 8. Basics of penal and trespass law – sources, principles of penal law and penal proceeding, sanctions, selected crimes, trespasses – basic information
