Course objectives
The course gives the necessary knowledge about the construction and operation equipment used in radiology - radiodiagnostic, radiotherapy and nuclear medicine. After completing the course students will be familiar and able to explain the issues of ionizing radiation, radiation detection methods for image creation, provide basic information about the individual components of the equipment and the types of equipment used in radiodiagnostic, radiotherapy and nuclear medicine. Finally, students will be familiar with the legislation.

  • 1st The design and effectiveness of X-ray, types of X-ray tubes 2nd Basic components of X-ray equipment (generator, driver, tools and accessories) 3 Types of generators 4th Types of X-ray investigation tools 5th X-ray accessories (curtains, awnings and other diagnostic tools) 6 Mobile X-ray apparatus 7th X-ray therapeutic apparatus 8th Therapeutic equipment 9th High energy radiation sources - isotope 10th High energy radiation sources - accelerator 11th Verification and planning systems, 12th Modern diagnostic equipment 13th Dosimetry devices and methods 14th Principles of good service and maintenance necessary for quality assurance 15th Standards and regulations 16th The design of scintillation detectors for NM 17th Gamacamera 18th SPECT camera 19th PET camera 20th Hybrid systems (SPECT / CT, PET / CT ...)
