Course objectives
At the end of this course, students should be able to: understand and explain the physical and physico-chemical basis of the measuring laboratory methods most frequently used in clinical biochemistry, immunology and hematology, namely the principles of spectrometry, electrophoresis, sedimetation analysis, microscopy, and some others, e.g. weighing, temperature measurement, measurement of the basic properties of liquids. The student should be able to understand in an adequate extent to the main methods of detection of ionizing radiation, and to the rules of safe use of the ionzinig radiation sources.; A student will be able to do the following upon completing the course: Have an overview of new instrumental technologies; Understand the technical parameters of laboratory instruments and be able to compare them with one another; Judge the advantages, disadvantages and limitations of individual instrumental and analytical systems; Apply acquired theoretical knowledge to practical work in a laboratory; Follow standard technical operational procedures;
