Course objectives
Students who successfully graduate from the subject of Economics and business management are familiar with basic theoretical and methodological findings from the fields of macroeconomics and microeconomics, they are able to make use of information about the business in their own entrepreneurial activities, they can keep tax and operational records, they can apply their knowledge of taxation system in business, they are familiar with health insurance and social security system and this knowledge serves as a foundation in related fields
Syllabus
  • Economic theory and basic economic terms (production factors, supply, demand, gross national product, gross domestic product, costs, revenues, calculation). Entrepreneurship (businesses and companies, entrepreneurship according to Trade Practices Act and special regulations, business associations outside companies). Businessman’s property (distribution, valuation, depreciation). Business plan. Relations existing between businesses and financial institutions (establishment of current account, system of payments, credits and crediting conditions).
