Course objectives
The main goals of this subjects are to introduce students with appropriate care of elderly patient skin in relation to the special needs of geriatric patients and their relatives. Students should be able to recognise characteristic features and symptoms of the skin disrorders in the old age and plan appropriate nursing care according the evaluaton of the actual patients status. students should be able to manage basic methods of healing wounds process by elderly patients and educate patients and also their rlatives about effective care of skin.

Teaching methods
- lecture - class excercise (seminars) - group discussion - homework - seminar paper - essay - solving problems by elderly with chronic/non healing wound
Assessment methods
written form - essay; oral form - group discusion Colloquium - credit is given according the rules which will be specified in frontal tuition. Student must create seminar assey - casuistry - treatment of chronic wound by elderly and the assey should be discussed in the study group.
