- Course objectives
- After succesfull completion of this course the student is able to describe disciplinary matrix and present commitments shared by members of the counselling and clinical psychologists community in the Czech Republic. The student will be able to explain commonly accepted concepts, theoretical prerequisites and empiric connections. The student will know how to present rules, models, metaphors included in the course methodology. Last but not least the student will be capable of citing paradigmatic examples.
- Syllabus
- 1. The subject and importance of patho-psychology. Relation between patho-psychology and psycho-pathology; patho-psychology in psychology.
- 2. Reasons of mental disorders. Heredity of psychic properties and environmental influences. The issue of normality. Psychology of a handicap. Handicap and personality. Specific personality features of a disabled person.
- 3. Psychic function disorders. Cognitive function disorders. Perception disorders. Memory disorders. Cogitation disorders. Speech disorders.
- 4. Emotional disorders and motivation. Emotional disorders. Instinct disorders. Volition disorders. 5. Disorders of consciousness and attention. Quantitative disorders of consciousness. Disorders of attention.

- 7. Psychological issues of neurological illnesses.
- 7.1. Poliomyelitis.
- 7.2. Hyperactivity syndrome.
