- Course objectives
- After finishing of this subject student will understand questions of binocular vision. Student will know that binocular vision is an ability to see with both eyes simultaneously. It is not congenital; it develops from first year and consolidates until six year. You can divide it artificial on three levels. Binocular vision is important for carrier choice and also for social life. Disorders of binocular vision are strabismus (cross – eye) and amblyopie(blunt – sight). Strabismus can be treated by glasses and pleoptics, surgery and ortoptics (re – creation of binocular vision). Paralytic strabismus occurs as result of oculomotorical nerve or ocular muscles palsies, or CNS disorder. Paralysis also expresses itself as deviation of eye and binocular vision disorder.
