Course objectives
Students will gain knowledge and skills needed to implement nursing activities in the field of standard hospital care, including practical application of the nursing process.
Syllabus
  • Seminar content:
  • 1 to 2 care of the patient's / client care unit and its equipment, classification of basic nursing units.
  • 3 to 5 care hospital bed, auxiliary equipment bed.
  • 6 to 7 examination and treatment position.
  • 8th prevention of nosocomial infections, the barrier system of nursing care, disinfection, sterilization.
  • 9th medical devices, distribution, species.
  • 10 to 14 care of the hygiene of children and adults.
  • 15 to 16 treatment of clients with pressure ulcers, rash, and prevention.
  • 17 to 20 monitoring of physiological functions.
  • 21 to 23 nutritional care of children and adults.
  • 24 to 26 Nursing in emptying the urine and stool in children and adults.
  • 27th-32nd mobility of the patient / client, ensuring physical and mental activity, the concept of basal stimulation.
  • 33rd-35th reception, translation, release the client, ward.
  • 36th care for the body of the deceased.
  • 37th-39th oral drug delivery.
  • 40th-42nd local drug delivery.
  • 43rd to 44th oxygen therapy.
  • 45th-50th parenteral drugs.
  • 51st to 56th infusion therapy.
  • 57th-59th transfusions.
  • 60th-70th collection of biological material.
  • 71st to 76th surgical nursing practice.
  • 77th-80th wound care, wound care management.
  • 81st to 84th customer care with a stoma, stoma care management.

Lecture, demonstration, practical exercises, discussion.
Assessment methods
Completion: examination 70% success rate with continuous tests (test for each unit taught), oral and practical examination of the ballot issue.
