- Course objectives
- The main objectives of the course: Introducing and understanding the problems in the branch of healthcare and physicians' psychology; Delineating and acquiring the basic psychological notions - bio - psycho - eco-social model in illness and in health; Understanding and applying the most important skills of mental hygiene as well as social skills; Acquiring and practising the autogenous training relaxation technique; Acquiring skills for psychological guidance of the patient prior to, during, and after a significant therapy; Psychotherapy.

- Delinating basic notions of healtcare and physicians' psychology; Health and ilness; Psychological problems of an ill person. Relation between a patient and a healthcare specialist; Basic psychological care for outpatients and for patients in hospital; Psychosomatic approach and bio-psyho-eco-social approach; Pain, anxiety, and fear; Grieving and depression. Thanatology; Mental crisis, critical intervention, burn-out syndrom; Specifics of the psychological approach across the branches of medicine - gynaecology and obsterics, neonatology; Psychotherapy;

- Assessment methods
- Requirements for the finishing of practice, form of finishing: credit - 80 per cent participation on the teaching, active participation is expected, pairwork, teamwork. Colloquium has a form of a written test, the result of the test is evaluated in points, within the range from 0 to 25 points, minimum number of points for passing is 20.
