- Course objectives
- This course is oriented as theoretical practical course. The course take place in special classroom and directly on childrens clinical workplaces. The goal of practical lessons in pediatry is to acquaint the students with problematics of treatment and prevence nursing in the field. The emphasis is on the obtaining the nurse anamnesis and children investigation in all age categories. The course give basic informations about children nursing and investigation by chosen problematics. The main goals: - the understanding of specifics of children age - the adoption of nursing basics (for children with different age) - the application of knowledges and skills in practise - the elaboration of nursing record for the child
- Learning outcomes
- Student after graduation will be: understand the peculiarities of children's age learning the basics of caring for a child at various ages applied knowledge and skills into practice draw up a nursing care plan the child with the selected disease apply the principles of proper communication with the child

- The field of pediatrics.Child care management.Care of sick children.Preventive measures in pediatrics.ASge categories,growht and development during childhood.Social issues in pediatrics.New-born infant,problems with adaptation. Nutrition during childhood.Feeding of infants- breast feeding,formula feeding, nutritional disorders.Inborn errors of metabolism.Disease of GIT,respiratory tract,kidneys.Disease of the nervous system.Convulsive disorders. Emotional and behavioural disorders. Disease of skin.
