- Course objectives
- After completing this subject the students will be able to explain the basic images about onset and development of diseases from the point of view of pathology and pathophysiology.
- Learning outcomes
- The students will be able to explain the necessity of both static and dynamic evaluations of the patient clinical state. This will give them a certainty during laboratory results evaluations and for further development of laboratory diagnostics.
- Syllabus
- Pathophysiology as a science. Disease, health, normality. External factors for onset and development of diseases.
- Introduction to radiation pathophysiology.
- Inflammation. Cell interactions, mediators, acute phase reaction, systemic reaction of organism to injury.Characteristics and functional principles of immune system and its disturbances.
- Pathology as a science. Its position in medicine, biopsy, authopsy. Death of organism, regressive and metabolic changes. Etiologic pathology.
- Inflammation. Definition, morphology, classification.
- Pathophysiology of malignant transformation.
- Pathophysiology of circulation.
- Pathophysiology of respiratory system.
- Pathophysiology of gastrointestinal tract.
