- Course objectives
- Dermatovenerology is the medical branch interested in the diagnostics and therapy of the skin diseases and the sexually transmitted infections. Course of dermatology is divided in two topics, the general and special part. The concept of the general part is introduction into the skin structure and physiology, into the ethiopathogenesis of the skin diseases, into the study of examining the skin and basic principles of medical therapy, especially of the topical treatment.
- Learning outcomes
- Student has basic knowledge about the most frequent skin disorders, their clinical presentations, including the history, epidemiology , management and medical therapy. The other aim of the tutorial is practical improvement of the students knowledges in their future clinical practice by the patients investigation and treatment. The stress is put on the topical therapy and therefore is supposed that students should be able to utilized their abilities and facilities by the topical treatment of the skin a skin diseases.

- Teaching methods
- Teaching is by lecture in power point witch rich pictorial documentation of interesting clinical cases. Students have a possibility to receive the presentation in electronical or priting form. Education purpose is obtaining of basic knowledges of general and special dermatology and venerology
- Assessment methods
- Final classification is performed on by the verbal exam. Students should be able to answer 3 questions: from general and special dermatology and from venerology. According the knowledges by verbal exam the students are classified and result of classification is noted to the students index.
