Course objectives
After the finishing of these lectures collection a student, on the base of gained information, will be able to define and explain problematic connected with refractive errors including all circumstances. Thanks good integrity of the problematic the student will be able to judge, compare and explain appropriate resolutions and methodic of examination.

Syllabus
  • Anomalies of accomodation
  • Accomodation: excessive accomodation, spasm, insufficiency, slackness and paralysis of accomodation and cycloplegia
  • Anomalies of convergence.
  • Insufficiency, excess of convergence
  • Muscular balance. Binocular vision.
  • Ortophoria – characteristics, binocular vision. Heterophoria – etiology, kinds, symptoms and therapy. Heterotrophia – etiology, vision in strabism, kinds and therapy. Amblyopia.
  • Progression of binocular vision. Stereoscopic vision.
  • Vision determination, glasses, ophthalmoscopy
  • Importance of the oculistic examination
  • Vision determination for near and far distance.
  • Direct and indirect ophthalmoscopy. Skiascopy.
