Course objectives
Learning outcomes of the course unit The subject will provide knowledge in the field of acute conditions of gynecology and obstetrics so that the student is able to orient in their diagnostics and therapy and to use this knowledge. Students will be actively involved in the educational process and will have the opportunity to practice their knowledge and skills in the context of model situations. The course will use interdisciplinary relationships that are essential in resolving sudden and life threatening conditions.
Learning outcomes
The student is able to define and describe the basics of highly specialized nursing care for patients with severe health disabilities in gynecology and obstetrics and is able to participate in it.
Syllabus
  • Highly specialized nursing care for a woman in acute conditions of gynecological nature (bleeding from birth injury, cervical bleeding, uterine cervical bleeding, abdominal bleeding, ectopic pregnancy). Highly specialized nursing care for sudden events in gynecology associated with a pain symptom (salpingitis, adnexitis, pelvoperitonitis, peritonitis). Highly specialized nursing care in acute conditions in obstetrics (abruption of placenta, placenta praevia, abortion, uterine rupture, postpartum haemorrhage).
